We encourage women to leave anonymous reviews of their experiences at Bank Australia. These are individual opinions and personal stories, that may provide insight into what it’s really like to work at the company, however they have not been verified.

“If you’re willing to play the boys’ game of banter and mediocrity, you’d be fine here. There is very little support … for meaningful change and action, and if this is something you want to do, be aware that you will be fighting an uphill battle the whole way.”

Overall Job Satisfaction:  2 / 5

Do you believe women and men treated equally?

“No”

What’s unequal?

“Promotion, Hiring”

“Huge boys club culture …- very blokey, and very little accountability for men in management roles which holds back the entire business

Do you believe you have you been treated unequally due to aspects of your identity?

“Yes, gender, neurodiversiy”.

One thing Bank Australia can improve:

“Promoting more women to leadership roles, Better pay & benefits

Would you recommend Bank Australia to other women?

“Maybe. In another department, perhaps I’d encourage women and gender diverse people to work here, but in Operations especially, there is an entrenched culture of a boy’s club, and complacency. If you’d be happy to go with the status quo and not challenge anything dramatically, you’d fit right in here.”
